Dawn grew up a tomboy and in complete awe of nature and everything it encompassed. Fleeing to the outdoors every chance she could get, she immersed herself in a new adventure every single day…building treehouses and forts, playing in sandboxes, making mud pits, creating habitats for bugs and lizards, even birds. Her love for science, animals, and nature lead her down of path working a number of years in veterinary medicine, owning her own pet siting/dog walking business, which now her oldest daughter runs, and became a conservation biologist through her studies. As an independent contractor, Dawn was able to work with various environmental organizations helping with research, data collection, health assessments, and even trapping and rescue work. Every day was different, but it proved to be rewarding and fulfilling and will remain close to her heart.
Moving forward, life happened and was satisfying and completely fluid, but then in 2014, she was diagnosed with breast cancer that left her in a chaotic whirlwind, all while trying to keep her own emotions in check being a wife, but more importantly, a mother. Life unraveled at a fast pace, even though living through it seemed to be in slow motion. In 2017, she got a second diagnosis, a recurrence along the surgery site from her bilateral mastectomy, and had to endure radiation as treatment for that particular battle. Halfway through treatment, she found herself in situational depression. Fear crept in and that is probably the most crippling feeling to ever have wash over your entire being. Living in uncertainty, once again having your life handed to you, feeling defeated, wondering if the cancer spread before treatment, and how will all of this impact relationships. It was overwhelming, but she finally found the courage to get help and so glad she did.
She found that through her own emotions, thoughts, and feelings surrounding her breast cancer diagnosis, a new path needed to be forged for her continued healing. The past 8 years of her life she has managed to be a source of wisdom, comfort, support, and information to many women, and even men, who have been touched by cancer. Becoming an Integrative Life Coach seemed like the next chapter in her life and a way to find new purpose with everything she had gone through.
You are not bound by your past, your genetics, or your current health. Dawn’s work is designed to transform the lives of her clients in all four modalities and support them by helping create the change they seek; finding balance, achieve optimal health and well-being and to live the life they desire!
Her life coaching will undoubtedly evolve, just like she has, but she is determined to help people become …the best versions of themselves.

What People Are Saying…
“When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January of 2019, I was a wreck. I was given the news by a radiologist without much of a bedside manner, and I panicked. I called my doctor, my husband, and then Dawn. Dawn is smart, does her research, and has been there. She was the person who gave me the tools to pull myself together. Dawn never sugar coated it. She knew first hand how hard the journey could be, but she shared advice and support, and by the end of the call I felt stronger and ready to face the next steps, and ready to face my children.
Dawn checked in with me regularly over the next year. She was there through tests, surgeries and recoveries. She gave me great advice which helped support me as I healed. Having someone in my corner who cared, and had the knowledge and experience to understand what I was experiencing physically and emotionally made me stronger at every step.
Thank you Dawn!”

'“Being diagnosed with breast cancer was definitely one of the scariest moments of my life. At a time when I felt lost, frightened, angry and in search of so many questions, it was nice to have someone with whom I could share my thoughts, concerns and gain some insight as to the difficult and challenging road ahead. Dawn was there to answer my many questions and to share her real-life experiences with me and for that, I am truly grateful. After my diagnosis, I was needing sound advice and honesty. I needed to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly that lay ahead and at times I just needed to be heard. Being able to speak with Dawn felt much like having a lifesaver. I felt an instant connection as she understood exactly what I was feeling and going through. Although we had only known each other through a mutual friend, she readily agreed to speak with me and has ever since been a strong supporter of mine. To this day, we continue to stay in touch. Everyone needs someone to lean on during this difficult time in one's life. Dawn was that person for me and I am truly grateful for all of her encouragement and support. I would hope every person diagnosed with cancer has a person like Dawn to lean on.”
